The Spud Drive-In Theater is one of the last American drive-in theaters, it was built and opened it’s doors in 1953 and continues to be one heck of a roadside attraction. The Spud annually attracts 12,000+ attendees to see movies every May-September. For the past 55 years the Spud Drive-In has been a gathering spot for friends and families. It is famous for Old Murphy, the 1946 Chevy cab-over truck that carries our 2-ton potato.  With new ownership, management and increased number of high-end special events and concerts, there is high anticipation and expectation for what is to come at The Spud.  As of July 8th and the release of “Dispicable Me,”  the Spud is the first drive-in to go fully digital in both HD projection and audio.

Arris is Arden Oksanen of Jackson Hole, Wyoming and Trask McFarland, of Bozeman, MT.  Formerly New Rider Productions this duo started collaborating on projects while attending Montana State University’s MTA program.  Their affinity for telling stories that involve the adventure seeker was only natural given their backgrounds in the rocky mountains.  Their path however bumpy has put them at the forefront of the High Definition revolution.  A transition from shooting yearly 16mm adventure films to television was timed perfectly to be involved with some of the first readily available original HDTV content.  Working with the VOOM Network (rainbow-media) from its inception ARRIS has produced over 20 hours of original HDTV content.
